Six SUVs You Can Practically Steal This Month

May 15th, 2010

It sounds so 1999, but the SUV shows signs of life.

By some measures, SUVs are the fastest selling category of new cars this summer. If you count the days’ worth of inventory, Utes as the Audi Q7 is one of the vehicles in shortest supply in dealer lots automakers ramp up for the 2011 model year.

SUVs are all over your TV – you’ve seen the ads for the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the all-American heritage (certainly, it is now in the hands of the Italians, but it was built in Detroit), and we know sure you caught some of the world premiere of the 2011 Ford Explorer last week across the country and around Facebook.

Americans buy more SUVs back at a pace that left some empty showrooms. However, a handful of sports tje be omitted from the crowd – and that’s good news for car shoppers, as weak demand makes it possible to walk away with a bargain price.

With the help of our partners TrueCar.com pricing, we have identified six SUVs that can be available for a bargain this summer. Some of your best new sport-ute offers for this month are:

2010 Ford Edge

One of the most versatile crossovers, the Edge looks stylish, drives like a sedan, and the expulsions a family and all the gears with ease. With the available SYNC infotainment system offers a better connectivity than many luxury cars were sold for twice the price. TrueCar.com rates for the Edge as a potential agreement with the average selling Edge for 13.9 percent below sticker price.

2010 Dodge Journey

The mid-size Journey did not sell as well as Dodge expects it, so the company is on an oversupply of new vehicles to sell. But the journey has much to offer, with a minivan-like interior storage, an easy ride, and a low base price. TrueCar.com rates is a possible deal this Mon The average Journey has sold 11.1 percent fewer than in July recommended. Dealers are flexible on price with this one too, according TrueCar.com, so buyers have a lot of negotiating room.

2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee

If an automaker is gambling heavily on a new model, with an aggressive advertising campaign, there is a significant chance of buying one it replaces. All those ads you see for the 2011 Grand Cherokee? They are a sign that the 2010 model is a bargain now. Dealers are still thousands left to see 2010s and TrueCar.com says they are among the most heavily discounted cars in America this month, selling for an average of 16.7 percent below sticker.

Lincoln MKT 2010

We do not really understand why the Lincoln MKT not sell well. The exterior is love-it-or-hate-it unusual, but the interior is exceptional – well equipped and convenient, entertainment and information with gadgets that work better than almost all others in its class. And her new turbo Ecoboost V-6 gives a lot of power without robbing it of fuel. TrueCar.com rates is a possible agreement in July with an average discount of 13.5 percent of the MSRP.

2010 Volkswagen Touareg

The Volkswagen Touareg is located in an odd niche, and buyers do not seem to know what to do. With its sporty driving dynamics, luxurious interior and a long list of possibilities, it can easily be sold as an Audi product. Unfortunately, it’s priced like one – and not many Americans have been prepared for an Audi-like prices to pay for something with a VW badge. That is one reason that, if you’re in the market, you should consider talking to a Volkswagen dealer. TrueCar.com says dealers are more willing to negotiate the price on the Touareg than on most other SUVs this month. Many are still selling for almost sticker price. But some are willing to have fallen significantly. You would not score a deal, but your chances are better with this than with most other SUVs this month – and if you can speak of a dealer, you possess this love thing. One last tip – most dealers are willing to consider the price of the TDI model.

Acura ZDX 2010

Acura has ZDX The stylish looks good, and it is luxurious and elegant interior. With Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive Package, it sticks to the road and remains remarkably stable in hard drive. Yet we criticize it as lacking the interior space to call yourself a true SUV, but it also lacks the dynamic relative brilliance of a BMW X6. TrueCar.com says it is not necessarily far this month, but some dealers are very flexible on prices. You may need more than an Acura dealership trying to find a bargain, but some are left the unique ZDX for much less than others.
