April 20th, 2010

A polished exterior, interior upgrades, and improved fuel economy are just a few of the improvements for 2011 Nissan has announced a modest new version of its Rogue compact crossover.

The 2011 Nissan Rogue will be shown to the public for the first time at the 23rd Annual International Z Car convention in Nashville, Tennessee, and while it is just a small, mid-cycle refresh must be distinguished from a 2010s at the much.

All Rogue models for 2011 get a significantly different outside, the new front grille, plus chrome and door moldings and accents, along with new front and rear spoilers, including new chrome details. Returning for 2011 will be the stylish Rogue S Krom Edition, a special 18-inch wheels, a center-exit exhaust tuned sports a unique grille and bumper with fog lamps gets styling and other tweaks.

The Rogue will only powered by a 170 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and automatic Xtronic CVT, four-wheel disc brakes and covers on all models. Nissan has eked a miles per gallon in both front-wheel-drive Rogue (highway) and Rogue AWD (city), at 22/28 mpg with FWD and 22/26 with AWD performance.

The Rogue 2011 is now offered in S and SE trims, unlike the S-and SL-line last year more closely with the profiles used in Nissan’s sporty models like the Maxima and the options list is configured . The new SV model includes many of the features of the SL last year on what sounds like a lower price. Highlights include a standard power driver’s seat with lumbar support, Bluetooth hands-free, and Intelligent Key entry. A NAV system, xenon headlights, rearview monitor, XM satellite radio and remain on the list of options.

In our full review of the 2010 Nissan Rogue, we praise its smooth ride, impressive interior, agility, and appearance, but takes issue with outward-facing, narrow back, and the lack of driving excitement, largely due to the rubber band-like reaction was established by the CVT.

Stay tuned for a follow-up after the drive and updated comprehensive review of the 2011 Nissan Rogue.
