Chevrolet Volt: Our Editors Weigh In

February 20th, 2010

It was a busy week already on High Gear Media, but without doubt one of the biggest news stories of the week is the pricing of 2011 Chevrolet Volt – the extended-range electric vehicle GM will provide beginning this fall.

The Volt is a labor of love for General Motors since 2006, first with the electric-gas vehicle as a concept at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. Since then, the world has become more accustomed to driving hybrid vehicles, and more ready to put one of their own garage. We have seen record sales of hybrids like the Toyota Prius and a Car of the Year win for the Ford Fusion Hybird, all while GM put the finishing touches on the 2011 Volt.

Now GM is willing to step into the green car fray. We have extensively here at the 2011 Volt TheCarConnection and more on our sister sites High Gear Media, and Green Square AllCarsElectric ports. Today we convene a panel of experts – our own editors – to discuss the Volt and give you more insight into how the Volt might fare against the will of the Prius in particular, the 2011 Nissan Leaf electric car.
