2011 Mazda6: Better Fuel Economy, New Details
Mazda is the first official information about the 2011 Mazda6 sedan, and in addition to improved fuel economy model gets a new look, including new materials and new details inside and out.
Although the engine has not changed for 2011 continue to offer either the 170-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or 272-hp V-6 fuel economy has improved, probably due to higher gear in the lineup.
The Mazda6 gains at least 1 mpg across the board. Four-cylinder “i” models are now getting 21 mpg city, 30 highway (from 20/29), and the “i” models with five-speed automatic gain 22/31 (21/30 last year). Mazda warns that the new EPA figures for the four-cylinder and automatic transmission are EPA has not yet confirmed.
With one of the engines, the car Connection likes the way the Mazda6 rides and handles, and since the refurbishment in 2009, it offered enough room for two adults in the back, three in a pinch. The 2010 Mazda6 reaches one of the highest average TCC’s Ratings in the mid-size sedans, with a total of 8.6, as we note its stylish design and powerful V-6, excellent handling, good cargo space and as reasons for think. The only gripes were that the instruments a bit hard to read, and Bluetooth is not offered on more of the finish.
Although Mazda has not released photos of the new Mazda6, the 2011 model will have new headlights and light models fog, newly available silver and pearl white paint colors, and on Touring and Grand Touring Plus trim, folding mirrors with integrated turn signal lamps. Within the standard cloth upholstery is new, and stitched vinyl armrest and a new steering wheel design, and the instrument panel gets more bright trim, probably similar to those introduced in recent years on the 2010 Mazda CX-7.
For 2011, the Mazda6 offered in four models: Sport, Touring, Touring Plus, and Grand Touring, with the basic SV model decreased. In addition, the Bluetooth hands-free interface now included with the mid-range Touring model (addressing one of our complaints), and Mazda6 Grand Touring models get a 4.3-inch multi-information display with rearview camera system. A rearview camera and larger seven-inch touch screen now come with the nav system.
